Cave Physiotherapy was established 2019 in order to provide South Cave and the surrounding areas with first class physiotherapy and sports medicine services.

All our Physiotherapists are registered with the Healthcare Professions Council and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.

Dan Ramsden
Dan RamsdenClinic Director
Dan completed his BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at the University of Huddersfield in 2010. Since then he has gone on to complete further post graduate study in Injection therapy, Independent Prescribing and more recently a Masters Degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine at the University of Leeds.

Dan has a special interest in the treatment of early degenerative conditions such as arthritis as well as complex sports injuries and concussion. He is currently completing an MBA at the University of Hull and a PhD looking into the management of complex concussion through the University of Ulster. Dan is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Leeds.

Currently Dan is the Lead Physiotherapist for both Hull Kingston Rovers and Scotland Rugby League. This Included providing services to the squads during the 2016 4 Nations and the 2017 Rugby League World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Dan has also worked with numerous international athletes including current Aikido World Champions Laura Beardsmore and Paul Carr.


Trent Bowden
Trent BowdenSenior Physiotherapist
Trent is a Chartered Physiotherapist with considerable experience working in both private practice and professional sport. Originally from Sydney, Trent spent time working with both the North Sydneys Bears and South Sydney Rabbitohs youth squads. Following his move to the UK he has worked for Hull Kingston Rovers as a first team Physiotherapist before joining Leigh Centurions as their Head of Physiotherapy during their return to Super League. Trent has now moved to the Leeds Rhinos where he works as First Team Physiotherapist. In addition to this Trent also works alongside Dan with Scotland Rugby League.


Tori Ramsden
Tori RamsdenSenior Physiotherapist
Tori originally trained at the University of Huddersfield, obtaining her degree in Physiotherapy in 2010. Tori has worked for the NHS for the majority of her career gaining significant experience in all aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy including, upper and lower limb and spinal. She has gained further experience working with ante-natal and post-natal patients, rheumatology and in post-operative rehabilitation. Tori is acupuncture qualified and is currently completing her Pilates APPI training.


Emily Abba
Emily AbbaSport Massage Therapist
Emily is a fully qualified sports massage therapist and also holds a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from York St John University. Previously Emily has also completed an Honours degree in Exercise Biomedicine through the University of Newcastle.

Over the past few years she has developed experience across various sports injury and physiotherapy settings.
